Are you ready to take your marketing to the next level, but get overwhelmed by all the “sales funnel” and “landing page” products?
It’s simpler than you might think. It’s easy to get frustrated and confused when it comes to sales funnels. And a lot of that confusion is the result of the many “turn-key” products on the market that claim to offer easy, simplified solutions to build funnels and reach your buyers.
The Truth About Sales Funnels
Sales Funnels are a model, or analogy, that represents your sales process. A lot of customers may show interest (top of the sales funnel), but as they move through each phase of the funnel, it demonstrates a deeper commitment to an actual purchase.
The truth about sales funnels is that there is no “one-size fits all” solution. Sales funnels require a deep knowledge of your business products, a solid brand (you have identified all the standard components in brand development), and developed customer persona’s.
Anatomy of a Sales Funnel
At Apeiros Marketing, we use the A.I.D.A.S. (Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action, Satisfaction) sales funnel model. Some people drop the S, but we believe that Satisfaction can be measured through reputation management and feedback from your customers.
It’s often easier to build your sales funnel in reverse. Starting with the action you want your customer to take.
Sales Funnels & Your Products
Did you know that each of your products may require a sales funnel? If you’re an agency, you may only have one sales funnel. If you’re an Ecommerce store, then you might have two dozen categories of products. If you’re a gym, you might have 3 membership levels. Each business type will have its own funnel, or set of funnels.
Sales Funnels & Landing Pages
Due to the confusion we mentioned at the beginning of this article, landing pages have become an inexplicable item that business owners have a difficult time unraveling.
Simply defined, landing pages are any page on your website where the customer can explore, learn more, and purchase the product or service you’re promoting.
Simply put, every page on your website is a landing page.
If your website is developed correctly, you have a web page for each of your products and each of those product pages are hyper-focused on that singular product.
Your sales funnel doesn’t need a new landing page built for each campaign, with the exception of promotions, or discounted offers that fall outside of your normal pricing.
